The P. R. High School Society, Dharangaon was founded in the year 1914 by Late. Shri. ParsharamRaychand Pagaria, a visionary philanthropist known for his commitment to education and the betterment of the disadvantaged people. He realized that the social ills could be remedied through the education of the masses alone and laid the foundation of P. R. High School at Dharangaon (Dist-Jalgaon) on4thFebruary 1914.

The society adopted the moto “नहि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते। (Nahi dnyanen sadrusham pavitramiha vidyate)” a famous verse from the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 4, Verse 38), meaning, “there is nothing in this world as purifying as knowledge ( या जगात ज्ञानासारखे पवित्र करणारे दुसरे काहीही नाही ). Since beginning, it has tried its best to lay emphasis on the education of the downtrodden, and students coming from Rural area. The society started Arts and Commerce College in June-1971 and Science college in 2006.

The PRHS is proud for its contribution to the society in the field of knowledge, education and intellectual services. Alumni of its institution are providing various services to the society including education in various parts of the state.Today, PRHS continues to offer broad-based and student-oriented courses from KG to PG.
