ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT |

Greetings from the Department of History. |
|
|
History is an inseparable part of
human life. Through history, we can learn how past
societies, systems, ideologies, governments, cultures
and technologies were built, how they operated, and how
they have changed. The study of history helps us to
understand a detailed picture of where we stand today.
The department of History was established in 1971 and
subject was offered as general subject in B.A. at UG
level. In accordance with the recommendations of NEP
2020 from academic year 2023-24, it is offered as a
Minor subject.
The enthusiastic faculty motivate the student to study
history through innovative ways.
To create interest in history the department organizes
various activities, visit historical sites and heritage
like forts, caves, temples, etc. |
