DEPARTMENT
Greetings from the Department of Zoology. |

|
Zoology is the
branch of biology that focuses on the scientific study
of animals. It explores the structure, embryology,
evolution, classification, habits, and distribution of
all animal life, as well as how animals interact with
their ecosystems
The department of Zoology was established with the
establishment of science faculty in the institution in
2006.Total 02 faculties are engaged in teaching UG
classes. The faculty members are actively involved in
teaching, learning, research and have shown major share
in publications. They have authored books on curriculum
of B.Sc. of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North
Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. Since, UGC has banned
dissection of live animals, recorded films are shown on
LCD projector at the time of practical sessions to
realize it.
Department emphasize on co-curricular activities for the
students through arranging field visits, excursion tours
and bird watching sessions. Extension activities such as
wild life week celebration, Ozone Day celebration, and
Blood group detection are run successfully by the
department.
The excellent infrastructure and well-equipped
laboratories offer conducive learning environment to the
aspirants. |
