DEPARTMENT
Greetings from the Department of Botany. |

|
Botany is the
branch of Biology that deals with the study of plants.
Botany is one of the world's oldest natural sciences.
Botany studies the characteristics and uses of the
plants. The study of plants is also important in
environment protection.
The Department of Botany, established in 2006 is one of
the leading Departments in the field of teaching and
research in plant sciences. Currently, three faculty
members are working in the department, out of which one
is Professor. The faculty members are actively involved
in teaching, learning, research and have shown major
share in publications. They have authored books on
curriculum of B.Sc. of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari
North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. The excellent
infrastructure and well-equipped laboratories offer
conducive learning environment to the aspirants.
Department emphasize on co-curricular activities for the
students through arranging field visits, excursion tours
and plant watching sessions. Extension activities such
as Botany week celebration, Ozone Day celebration,
workshops on Mushroom cultivation and environmental
awareness and protection through student’s activities. |

The Department offers minor subject to B.Sc. Degree
(NEP-2020 pattern) upto S.Y.B.Sc. level. |
