Greetings from the Department of Marathi. |
|
|
The language has constitutional base
in our county. Marathi is one of the major languages in
India, spoken largely by the people of Maharashtra.The
department of Marathi was established along with the
inception of college (1971). It was started to teach
Regional Language & Mother tongue to the students.
Department’s main intention is to create awareness among
students and attachment about the importance of Marathi
Language. The department always strive to generate
interest of Marathi language and literature among the
students.
In accordance with the recommendations of NEP 2020,
Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra
University, Jalgaon (our affiliating university) has
revised structure and the Marathi syllabus. The
Department offers three years B.A. Marathi Degree
(NEP-2020 pattern) with six semesters and Postgraduate
(M.A. Marathi). Following the new structure, MIL Course
is taught to all streams at UG level from academic year
2024-25.
The Students of Marathi Department has many
opportunities and scope in various jobs regarding
Electronic Media and State Government of Maharashtra.
Many dedicated ex-faculty members had worked in the
Department of Marathi and represented this departmenton
various platforms. They wrote many books, text and
references too.
The department has established links and MOUs with
various organizations; this provides various OJT /
Internship options to the students. |
