ABOUT THE
DEPARTMENT
Greetings from the Department of Physics. |

|
Physics is both
the science of first principles and the practice of
probing every corner of the natural world, from
subatomic particles to the cosmos.
The Department of Physics was established in the year
2006 and Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit A. Joshi as first Head of
Department. Department offers an undergraduate programme
B.Sc. in Physics. It started functioning on the
self-financing basis, and the college was awarded with
financial assistance from Government of Maharashtra in
2009 and department accordingly. The excellent
infrastructure and well-equipped laboratories offer
conducive learning environment to the aspirants.
Two permanent faculty members are actively involved in
teaching, learning, research and have shown major share
in publications. They have authored books on curriculum
of B.Sc. of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North
Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.
Enthusiastic faculty members provide an encouraging
environment to develop the intellectual capacity,
critical thinking and creativity. |

The Department runs three years B.Sc. Degree (NEP-2020
pattern) with six semesters. |
